WSP is currently initiating a search for an Experienced Civil Engineer for our Austin, TX office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in all aspects of transportation design projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design

  • Coordinate with supervisor in the planning and executing of project tasks, maintaining schedule and work efficiently

  • Working on Design/Build projects

  • Working with project Team to produce TxDOT Schematic and PS&E Projects

  • Maintaining positive team relationships

  • Assist and coordinate with other key staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSCE from an accredited program

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ of directly applicable experience in the design of transportation projects

  • Engineer-In-Training certification

  • Experience as a Roadway design on a minimum of two design projects

  • Highway/roadway design projects for local and state governments

  • This person must demonstrate creativity, foresight and engineering judgment, and successfully participate in completing multiple task assignments

  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four (4) years’ or more of directly applicable experience in the design of transportation projects

  • Committed to being a civil engineer with a focus in roadway design
