Kforce Desktop Support Technician in Dallas, Texas

Kforce has a client seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Dallas, Texas (TX).Summary:This role will be basic desktop support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues as well as general MACs. There is another team that handles the Desktop Engineering side of the house. Work schedule is Monday-Friday 8 to 5.Duties Include:

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals

  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems

  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups

  • Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed

  • Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs

  • May require an Associate's degree or its equivalent and entry level - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • 3 years of basic desktop experience

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

  • No certifications are mandatory, but A , HP hardware, and Macintosh certifications are a plus

  • Need a candidate that is able to adapt to changing priorities

  • They need to be professional, but not overly serious; Not everything works as it should and we need someone who will work with the solutions we have and not get overly frustrated

Top 2 required skills:

  • Customer Service has to be a priority (comfortable dealing with upset customers etc.)

  • General troubleshooting knowledge, knowing how to systematically work through issues to isolate the problem and determine a solution

Nice to Have:

  • CompTIA A

  • HP Laptop/Desktop Warranty Certified

  • Deskside Support Experience

  • Desktop Break/Fix Experience

  • Laptop Break/Fix Experience
