Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support for the accomplishment of the USASMDC/ARSTRAT's execution of operational responsibilities for the Integrated and Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) training Mission. The main task is to leverage live radar feeds to support both the 263rd AAMDC for NCR-IADS and the 1AD and Fort Bliss with a 24/7/365 live COP to provide situational awareness of aircraft operating within the Fort Bliss training area and as required a live air picture for the NCR-IADS mission to support training events.
Provide a tactical air picture (from the Continental NORAD) to the ADSI and TAIS via SIPRNet.
Provide support to Fort Bliss, McGregor Range and 1AD during the duration of the project using the CDI-Cell’s ADSI and TAIS and network connectivity.
Provide integration testing, tactical data link communication and operational support during the period of performance for 1AD exercises such as Iron Focus etc.
Provide support conducting network/system testing/integration of new capabilities and maintenance of existing capabilities for the duration of
Performs other duties as assigned
The Senior Systems Engineer provides leadership in systems design and engineering with considerably more knowledge than the entry and mid-level Systems Engineer.Serves as the lead and technical expert. Is responsible for management level preparation of documentation required as part of the overall systems engineering aspect of the task or demonstration.Recommends changes to system design and for system specifications.Maintains an extensive knowledge of C4ISR architectures. Maintains an extensive knowledge of space and or missile defense concepts and operations. Coordinates all changes of the system design with the Government sponsor of the item, product, or system being designed. Systems Engineers shall have college degree(s) in an engineering discipline, typically a engineering BS and an engineering or management MS at the “senior” level.
Experience levels are generally expected to indicate from 0-5 years performing relevant tasks for “entry level” personnel, 5-12 years for “mid-level” personnel, and 12 years for “senior” personnel, but may vary based on company policies, types of jobs help, levels of responsibility exercised, and educations levels.
This position is posted in anticipation of contract award to STS.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience is required; Master's degree is preferred.
12+ years of related mission/functional area experience, including:
1+ years’ experience in in integrating FAA radars with local tactical radars and operating and integrating Multi Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS) into an Air Common Operational Picture.
Strong communication skills with all levels of management, including high level executives
Current Secret clearance
