Position Summary

At Jacobs our Senior Mechanical Engineers lead a range of skills as partof an integrated building services design. The senior engineer is responsiblefor leading an up and coming team in healthcare design. The mechanical teamleader must have a broad knowledge of hospitals and medical officebuildings and other related designservices including coordination with the designs of other trades (architecturaland engineering / internal and external). The Senior Engineer will takeownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the assignedhealthcare projects working in conjunction with a technical team. As the teamleader you will also be responsible for the professional growth of your team.

  • Lead design and engineering project staff personnel

  • Be responsible for scheduling, projecting manpower requirements, and budgets for Healthcare

  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports

  • Knowledge and application of a State Health Service system required.

  • TDSHS, Texas Department of State Health Services, knowledge required

  • Communicate technical advice and engineering reasoning to client

  • Lead work with engineers of other disciplines and architects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering (BSAE) required

  • At least 10 years’ experience working in a consulting engineering environment required

  • Professional Engineer required

  • Proficient in Revit, 3D CADD preferred

  • Previous leadership experience in an MEP environment preferred
