Ricoh Americas Corporation Digital Forensics Technician - e-Discovery in Houston, Texas


The Lab Technician will receive on the job training for tasks assigned, and will be expected to learn and demonstrate an understanding of the quality standards as experience is gained though on the job training. Successful candidates will possess strong technical skills and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, work independently, be flexible in work hours and maintain a pleasant attitude in stressful situations. Organization, attention to detail and strict compliance with operating policies and procedures is a must.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hard drive intake and inventory
  • Maintaining lab cleanliness
  • Ordering office supplies (observing level of supplies and ordering more when needed)
  • Monthly laboratory inventory checks
  • Assisting senior staff
  • Forensic computer system - updates and maintenance
  • Hard drive sterilization
  • Prepare data for processing
  • Performing and documenting forensic Acquisitions of digital media
  • Deployment, shipment, and documentation of remote collection devices
  • Evidence management
  • Remote acquisition verification
  • Quality assurance for shipments

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Possess an Associate's degree or demonstrated competency as determined by the Director or Department Manager.
  • 1-2 years technical experience
