Role Summary:

Field Service and Technical Specialist is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity and maintaining and repair GE equipment. In this role, successful candidate will meet day-to-day short term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action by following an individual work plan.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Field Service Technician - Angola, you will:

  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment at the well site

  • Perform valve repair, valve lubrication, and wellhead upgrading

  • Repair, assemble, test, and maintain tools and customer equipment on shore base

  • Organize, select, arrange shipment of, and receive tools and equipment

  • Maintain all GE Oil & Gas property, including truck, service tools, phone and computer equipment in a clean and ready state

  • Process service tickets

  • Perform administrative functions relating to well records

  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts for service and rental tools

  • Prepare detailed Job Safety Environmental Analysis (JSEA) requirements

  • Promote and perform any field service oriented sales and maintain a confident customer relationship for the company

  • Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations

  • Analyze the failure and availability statistics of the local installed fleet

  • Collaborate with the functional technical support team to increase the system performance, based on statistical data

  • Support the regional managers in all technical needs and during customer visits

  • Close collaboration with the 1st level of the support function to identify failure trend in an early phase and to initiate corrective actions

  • Provide start up support in growing markets with temporary local presence Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 6 years of proven Wellhead services experience in the Pressure Control and/or Flow Equipment business)

  • Minimum 4 years of proven Wellhead services experience in the Pressure Control and/or Flow Equipment businessEligibility Requirements:

  • Work on-call, as required

  • Travel to other locations (including international)

  • Work varying shifts in differing environmental conditions and often under time limitations Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products, Lotus Notes and other programs
