Kforce Field Service Technician in Houston, Texas

Kforce has a client seeking a Field Service Technician in Houston, Texas (TX).Responsibilities:

  • Follows established process and procedures to plan, install, test, and implement computer system hardware or software technologies

  • Provide -smart hands- support for infrastructure devises, servers, and conference rooms AV equipment

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of 7 years working in a dedicated corporate desktop support role

  • A strong computer professional who can prioritize workload and maintain a positive relationship with various personalities

  • Ability to converse and communicate appropriately with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and behavior

  • Strong customer service skills including written and verbal communications

  • Diagnosing and resolving PC technical issues

  • Records, tracks, escalates and updates events through established systems

  • Candidate must be detail oriented and self-motivating (a strong work ethic)

  • Remedy Incident Management System, or similar system

  • Computer configuration and setup of standard pc and laptop devices

  • Provide 3rd level support to desktop team

  • Application Installation / Troubleshooting

  • Understand network topologies

  • Basic understanding of Active Directory

  • Advance knowledge of all current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

  • Microsoft Office Support - Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues with a focus Word, Excel (Advanced functions) and Outlook

  • Support of Common Off the Shelf Products (COTS)

  • Operating System configuration of various peripheral computer equipment, dual monitors, multi-function network printers, etc.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • SCCM Management

  • Collections creation

  • Upload and create software packages

  • Software deployments / advertisements

  • Create reports

  • Basic understanding of SQL

  • Basic Scripting

  • VBS (Visual Basic Scripting)

  • Batch process

  • Windows PowerShell

  • ITIL Foundations Certification
