Oxy is searching for an experienced, motivated, creative and entrepreneurial individual for our completions/stimulation engineer position within the Well Analysis and Design (WAD) team based in Houston, Texas. This is an opportunity for driving aggressive development plans and growth projects while engaging in competitor analysis, surveillance, experimenting new technologies, tactical execution and strategic planning across multiple disciplines (reservoir, geology, drilling, completions, operations and facilities) with the collaborative support and expertise required to deliver outstanding results. This position will be part of an integrated team of highly qualified geoscientists, engineers, and technicians striving to expedite and optimize economic recovery of hydrocarbons. Responsibilities include: This position will provide Stimulation Design and Completions Engineering expertise/support for shale and non-conventional reservoir plays. This role requires technical and economic analysis of various unconventional and shale completion techniques for exploration and development prospects. This position requires planning, evaluation and coordination with multiple teams and subject-matter experts to ensure goals are achieved. Design, recommendation and evaluation of completions trials is a key responsibility of this position. Ability to objectively evaluate new and emerging technologies using scientific methods is a must. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline or relevant field of study Experience in stimulation/completion design and execution in unconventional/shale and/or similar plays Proficient in running fracture modeling software Experience in DFIT design and evaluation a plus Recent experience with horizontal/long lateral wells with multi-frac stage completions A minimum of six years of relevant work experience in both E&P and Service companies Current on technology developments in unconventional reservoirs Innovative and creative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologies Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and tight deadlines Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlines Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills with experience working in a multi-discipline team environment Strong communication skills with ability to effectively share information to mentor/develop others
