The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically. As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. The selected candidate will be required to secure these accesses. Not being able to secure the Interim Secret Security Clearance needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded . This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Raytheon is looking for an electrical engineer to work in the Hardware Engineering Center of Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. You will work in the Transmitter, Receiver, EXciter (TREX) department. This entails working in multi-disciplined, multi-functional integrated product teams to either design, develop, manufacture and/or sustain complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and/or land-based military applications. Activities may include one or more of the following: detailed RF/Analog/Digital design, component obsolescence trades and resolution updates, production support, supplier collaboration to resolve hardware non-conformances and/or product sustainment. Specific tasks include circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification. Integration and test of RF/Analog/Digital components and modules at the TREX and Radar levels may also be required. Required Skills: Electrical engineering experience with an emphasis in RF, Analog and/or digital component and module design, development and/or support Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering as well as EE lab equipment Experience with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test Must be able to obtain an interim Secret security clearance PRIOR to starting Must have ability to access to US only data systems Desired Skills: Familiarity with RF design tools such as ADS, Genesys, Matlab, Labview, PSPICE and Mentor Expedition design Tool. Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools Familiarity with the complete design process from requirements to development, test, and integration Experience with schematic capture, VHDL design/HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test Software skills with C, C++ Visual Basic, and/or assembly languages.
