We are searching for a Sr. Software Engineer in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) located in Plano, TX.

Job Summary:

Responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and integration of software.

Major Responsibilities/Activities Statements:

Embedded:

  • Design, document, and develop software for embedded systems in accordance with the Mustang Software Development Process and Procedures and coding standards and guidelines.

  • Work with Systems Engineering to develop software requirements from system requirements

  • Participate in the development of the software architecture and software design

  • Participate in design efforts including software architecture, software design/code reviews, algorithm architecture alignment review, and FPGA interface and Memory mapping

  • Participate in estimating efforts for programs

  • Present designs in internal and external program meetings

  • Assist in developing build scripts

  • Participate in Integration efforts/Bug fixes

  • Provide input to project schedule, financial and technical goals as assigned

  • Monitor program TPM’s, including timing, sizing, and throughput requirements

  • Support risk assessment and development of mitigation strategies

  • Participate in code reviews

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Experience with Version Control Tools

  • Experience with software bug/issue tracking

  • Experience designing technical software solutions, and integration experience

  • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment

  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

Required Skills:

  • Interfacing with custom hardware

  • Experience with Device Drivers

  • Experience with Interrupt Driven Systems

  • Experience with Matlab

  • Experience with integrating embedded software on Digital Signal Processors and interfacing with FPGAs

  • Fluent in C/C

Other Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain any additional clearances as required

Desired:

  • Defense experience

  • Radar knowledge

  • Script building

Educational Requirements: Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

  • Master’s degree Desired

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Support Field Testing
