Improve the reliability and availability of metrology equipment
Provide training to equipment technicians
Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions
Implement and/or improve metrology equipment matching
Prevent and reduce wafer scrap
Define required scheduled and preventive maintenance activity and intervals
Reduce cost of ownership
Identify and qualify alternate source parts
Support process and equipment development activities
Create hard down action plans
Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of capital equipment
Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
Participate and lead cross functional and Lean activity teams
Project management of tool installs and removals from fab
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2 to 10 plus years’ experience
Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable
Ability to troubleshoot to an advanced level, often dealing with new complex issues
Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with manufacturing and process engineering to deal with these issues and priorities
Solid knowledge of process control, sampling optimization, data analysis and interpretation
Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out of the box thinking
Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self
A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment
Ability to program PLCs and design solutions to further automate existing equipment
Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as well as be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and a high level of personal energy.
Must be capable of working in a team environment to coordinate focused efforts with Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Equipment Suppliers.
