University of Texas Health Science Center Audio Visual Technician-Associate in San Antonio, Texas
This position will be responsible for monitoring the performance, maintenance, and operation of multi-media audiovisual equipment in a classroom/conference room setting. Will provide training and support on the use of equipment in room to faculty, staff and students.
Provides support of technology systems and services for the university faculty, staff and students.
Assists with the maintenance of hardware, software, peripheral equipment, tools and test equipment.
Installs, services and supports classroom equipment/systems.
Assist in the annual inventory.
General equipment maintenance to include: cleaning filters, changing projector lamps, using software to monitor equipment/systems, soldering connecting replacing cables, adjusting audio.
Provides immediate response to problems and emergency situations affecting normal operations.
Works closely with others within Information Management Services (IMS) to ensure efficient functionality of resources.
Responsible for documenting and checking out of AV equipment for use in a classroom or off site event.
Plans or develops relevant user documentation.
Drives University vehicle to and from work sites as required.
May be required to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Performs other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications: High School or GED diploma with one (1) year of experience.
