Texas Employer Material Handler I-III/Storage and Issue in SHEPPARD AFB, Texas
Responsible to flight managers and other higher level managers for all items requisitioned, received, stored, and issued within the Base Supply storage, Flying Individual Equipment, and Mobility Bag Element. Be required to perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the first level supervisor or other higher-level managers. Perform safety, environmental, and security tasks, as necessary. The major classification activities listed below are not all inclusive. MAJOR CLASSIFICATION ACTIVITIES (KSA): Performs a variety of duties in accordance with military prescribed directives and storage methods. Unpack and inventory property, process items from receiving to storage, and place items into proper storage locations. Select items from storage locations as required by accompanying documentation and move property for delivery or shipment. Assign warehouse locations to property, perform warehouse validations and assist in inventory of warehouse-stored property. If required, maintain suspense files, accomplish requisitioning actions and maintain due-in, due-out and status files. Initiate and maintain data relative to adjusted, demand, and additional levels. Operate the Pilot Training/Individual Equipment Element issuing and backordering property. Perform duties in the Mobility Bag Element maintaining mobility bags and updating customer and stock data using the Mobility Inventory Control and Accounting System (MICAS). Process all transactions through the USAF Standard Computer System and/or the Enterprise Solution s-Supply module of the ILS. Perform supply operations within all Storage and Issue Elements and utilize any other DOD approved computer programs/systems associated with the processing of Base Supply assets and Hazardous materials. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One-year experience as a Material Handler or Supply Clerk, or one year combination equivalent. Must be able to obtain and hold a secret security clearance, able to obtain weapons qualification and have a high School diploma or equivalent. Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds. Possess a valid state driver s license and be able to operate all manual and powered material handling equipment. Perform Standby or weekend duty as required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
