Description:

The location for this internship is in Wichita Falls, Texas at P&WC Component Repairs. This facility has approximately 170 full-time employees.

P&WC Component Repairs is seeking interns to work during the summer months of June through August 2017. The goal of the Intern program is to enhance the student’s academic training, professional growth, and personal development.

Responsibilities could include:

  • Support existing engineering projects

  • Identify tooling requirements

  • Design process tooling

  • Establish process flow

  • Write Process Method Sheets

  • Establish repair Bill of Materials

  • Assist with repair development

  • Write CNC programing

  • Assist with preparation of First Article Part

  • Support continuous improvement projects within the engineering department

  • Conduct Gage R&R studies

  • Identify process KPI’s

  • Establish Process Certification Requirements

  • Analyze process failure modes

  • Conduct root cause analysis of rework

  • Participate in DIVE process

  • Support of Quality Department with

  • Internal Auditing

  • Data Collection and Review

  • Warranty Review

  • Corrective Action review and completion

Qualification:

Applicants will have completed their sophomore year at an accredited university but have not yet graduated. Applicants must have experience in multi-tasking, planning, organizing, and problem solving. Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Education: Must be currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited school, with a target degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial and/or Aerospace).

GPA 3.0 or above required
